Lucky Lad Energy is an independent oil and natural gas company focused on acquiring and improving conventional producing assets along the Gulf Coast. Founded in 2021, the company is built around a practical operating philosophy: understand the property, identify the constraints, and apply the right work to pursue better performance.
Our approach combines petroleum engineering, field operations, and selective capital investment. We look for opportunities in established producing properties where close operational attention and a clear plan can make a difference.

Richard founded Lucky Lad Energy in 2021. His background combines petroleum engineering and business education with a focus on conventional producing properties and practical operating improvements.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Louisiana State University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
His approach to building Lucky Lad Energy centers on technical evaluation, disciplined investment, and following through on the work required in the field.
